I think it's not a question of whether we're going to update or not, but whether or not we might want to disable the changed rendering.

The hinting looks a bit off with the new version, though; the rendering is not as uniform as it could be -- this is especially noticeable with the "Documents" menu item in StyledEdit, or the 'i's in the line second to bottom.
I do like the more condensed look of the font, though, and I do like the look of "Appearance" better than before.

I'm not sure whether or not I like the new version better, as it seems to be somewhat quirky at least in some font sizes.
