Thanks, Bob!
I appreciate the effort! I have some of the Bondo stuff that I mentioned;
however, I just have to track it down… Thanks for the piece on my bin.

cutter...
Ryan,
The glass cloth I have cut well at speed 50 power 50. I believe it is 6 oz
cloth.
If you haven’t bought any yet,, there’s no need to buy a yard pack just to get
a small piece. I’ll leave a piece on your bin.

All,
I want to laser cut what is essentially fiberglass cloth (Bondo;

I am trying to make a thermal insulator for a Diamond Hotend for a 3D printer (
<http://reprap.org/wiki/Diamond_Hotend> http://reprap.org/wiki/Diamond_Hotend).
The one that I got is an Ebay special recommended by JetGuy. It does not come
with this thermal barrier as shown from the real version from
<http://reprap.me/> Reprap.me ( <http://www.reprap.me/diamond-hotend.html>
http://www.reprap.me/diamond-hotend.html). After reading the reprap wiki, it
states that the thermal barrier is created by laser cutting a fire blanket
which looks to be fiberglass. I have the dxf file from the diamond reprap wiki.
Not sure if we have crossed this bridge before so I wanted to start a
discussion before proceeding. Thoughts?
