Hello Dale,
 =

here's a late idea on how to get a list of all invalid points in the AIM*Hi=
storian configuration, while the invalid points logfile is gone.

You can use the command

"harp <histname> -S -b" =

to get a list of all bad points (this gives you the index and not the point=
name). The "invalid" points show up with status 0000. To get the names (fo=
r the indices) use =

"harp <histname> -F"

Harp is not a standard but an "unsupported" AIM tool (like the inv_.....log=
was). On the AIM*CD there is an unsp_utilities folder for the different OS=
's. It contains some tools you might find usefull (like harp). The folder c=
ontains a short documentation "unsp_util.doc" on how to "install" and use t=
he tools.

Yes I would like to have back the invalid points log, but as long as we don=
't have it, this is my first choice. =

Objet : [foxboro] AIM Historian BAD POINTS

Hello List.

I use IA Ver 6.5.2 and run AIM 3.2.4 Historian. The older versions of this =
AIM used to give you a list of BAD Points (ie points historized but may not=
exist in your CP anymore) that may be in the Historian when it started up.=
...in some log file under /opt/aim/inst. It doesn't seem to do this anymore=
with the newer version. Can anyone help me in finding a tool that will do =
this or point me in the proper direction?

Dale Gillis
