List, You can FORCE_DELETE your incorrect or deleted AIM points. I use a small script to do this. Basically you do a histcsave, use the "histname"_del.inp file to filter o= n deleted point and do a force delete for these point with histcbatch (yo= u will see that the used index nr is gone but you will be able to put new= points in. without deleting your complete database and rebuild it and lo= ose al you histdata. Syntax for force_deleted is: 1 DELETE POINT C:B.P NAME FORCE_DELETE Regards, Patrick Den Haese Invensys Systems Belgium >Just another note. If you delete it in the historian you wont get your o= riginal point added back into you license unless you undelete it. >This means deleting 1000 points costs 1000 points in you license. The on= ly workaround found was to batch out the points and recreate the historia= n to recover the license issue, or complain to your sales guy for a upgra= de to the license. >The recreation of historian means loss of all previous data since the ma= pping is different in the point numbers. _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
