Any chance these baseplates are among the rev that needed to be replaced
for
270 series service? The DIN IO system book shows which revs are involved.
They are baseplates that date back to CP60 installations

CP field bus ties to FBI 100 then to PIO. Also field extension base plate
field bus 1 to a set of 2F2 fiber modules to two older 200 series base
plates. Then he'll cable to the last two base plates about 65 feet away.
Noise on bus A and B is causing random system alarms?

that were not there on the CP40B?
So you upgraded from a CP40B to FCP270 with 100 series.
Then mention FEM100 .......so have you added 200 Series FBM's to the
mix

series. So on the FCP270 baseplate how are you connected and terminated??
People commonly make mistake with fieldbus termination with FCP270 to
100

Forgot to include that FBI100 or 200 can be used to extend that
maximum

to CP40. Now it's 3200 ft.
Fieldbus length when connected to FCP270 is shorter than when
connected
//www.freelists.org/list/foxboroIt had been 4000 I believe. Length OK?

Just replaced a CP40B with CP270 connected to FBM100's. Have not
had any FBM or A/B fieldbus issues prior to change. Now getting
intermittent A errors on random FBM's. We've done this same CP
upgrade a number of times without issue. We've changed the FBI
modules and nosecones on A, re-terminated twinax cables, etc. Not
having much luck, any words of wisdom?
