For motors I wish they had 3 states, and momentaries, a la old-school
Brand H (maybe new-school Brand H, too, I don't know), but yes, GDEVs are
better than the several-CIN/COUT alternative. For on-off valves they are
great. I now typically use them for generic operator-interface "soft
switches" as well, for consistency, and because COUTs do not have
configurable state text.

Use Gdev's, No need for Calc blocks, no need to invent the wheel
again...... We've been using them form the start, but configured for PLB
use. One block gives you the control over the valve and complete status
feedback (STAIND), also has nice features for interlocking etc....
Couldn't live without them.....

Kind regards

Dirk
