In the future, tell your clients that if they are bringing you a series of
.wav files or any multi-track project taht they want you to work on, that every
file must have a click at the top of it that allows the tracks to be
synchronized upon import.
I use this when I fly a project from Sonar to Pro Tools and I'd be lost
without it.

Is there a 2pop at the head of each track so you can line them up?
If so, your work will be much easier.

hello all, i have a project that a client done on a fostex hard disk
recorder. he wants me to take the tracks from this unit put them in to sonar
and mix and master them. there are only 2 out puts for this product. s p d i
f, and 2 quarter inch outs. there is not an out put for each track. idealy i
would like to take 2 tracks at a time from the quarter inch outs, press record
on the computer, hit play on the fostex. and start running it home. how ever
if i do this, my second and third takes will bee out of sink with the first
take. meaning that unless i press play and record togather three different
times, at the same speed these tracks will bee out of sink. my question to you
all is. cant i move these tracks around after i get them all recorded on the
computer? is this easy to do with sonar and jaws? whin i had a littel more
vission i could do this in cubass with no problem, can i get this to work? is
it easy? i thank every one for any ideas you might have. i need to get
started on this for my client and just want to know what to expect. i'm sure
some one on here has done this before. thanks to yall!
