The grass isn't always greener...and I think people literally get blinded by
thinking another solution is somehow better/cheaper or more powerful. Of
course, choice is good, the more choice the better, but it all comes down to
how serious you are about your music.
You can spend your life learning new solutions constantly, struggle with
inaccessibility and moan about the price of screenreaders until the cows
come home, bottom line is you choose the level at wich you want to work at
and how much you're going to pay.
CT, JSonar, HSC, Sonar and Jaws give an absolute amazing level of
accessibility to professional plugs, no doubt and if you want to get on,
this is the way you need to go. reaper is becoming an option with NVDA, but
this route will keep you out of all available accessibility choices. It
will be enough for a lot, but it won't deliver for many. People crave the
next thing too much and are willing to step over what's currently there in
order to struggle. People spend enormous amounts on a new PC/Mack solution,
then moan about the price of a plug or find things aren't quite as rosey as
they expected.
I'm currently not a CT user, but I'm excited to hear about the future for CT
and X3 and I will probably turn to that solution when it's available, nice
one DD. If you're serious about your music, then invest in it, even though
it may hurt a little, try not to get bogged down with what if's and maybe's!

reaper is 50 dollars of close to it much cheaper. cheaper than jaws
upgrades thats for sure.
