Hey Gord,
I should have known you would have figured out a good work around with X1.
I've been following you for a few years now, and even spoke with you from
time to time. This is why I have a lot of respect for your post. Do you
still have a reference guide on how to move around the screen?
James

Hi:
I wouldn't say that we have been left in the dust. I've been using sonar x?
exclusively for years now. Yes, I am a tweaker and I do put up with some
inconveniences but the extra plug-ins and better true 64-bit support are
worth it to me. THat being said, with nvda, it is possible to see virtually
every toolbar item and widget with object navigation. If we could just get
a better handle on referencing these ui automation objects so that they
could be scripted in either jaws or nvda, we would potentially have better
and more reliable access than ever, and it wouldn't be dependent on how the
screen was set up. I have gotten the inspector and console view working
quite well and can get at the items in the pro channel module which is
really nice. And their new keyboard shortcuts are more intuitive e.g. G for
go to, Shift g to go to from, etc. Yes, reaper is nice, but remember that
you won't get much content with it like sample libraries and soft synths
etc. They do have some pretty wild audio plug-ins though, and the access to
plug-in parameters is much better than Sonar's.
