Acknowledged.
The problem is in identifying for certain what will cause problems when RISC
OS is used to produce the final pdfs. Many pages work OK. If you can identify
the problems in advance then:

1. You may be able to avoid producing such pages;
2. you could divert just (say) 3 or 4 pages for processing externally;
3. know what to ask the developers to do to put it right.
