I was involved in that episode, but I'd forgotten all about it. Summary:
there is an open source program for Windows "Font Forge" that claims to
be able to load Acorn fonts and output other formats. You need FontFiend
V 2.44 on RISC OS.
Mostly it is amusing because of the belligerence of the participants.
