Does it have a warranty that covers 15 months?

Would also depend on the first time he spoke to the supplier(After 2 weeks) and
what exactly was discussed. Did the supplier tell him to bring it in? That
they will come pick it up? That they will get back to him regarding the issue?
etc.

If the user was just lazy or forgot about it and returned it after the
warranty/guarantee lapsed then the supplier would probably do nothing. Not
their fault.

So, hypothetical question....

If you were to purchase something... then find out it doesn't work to spec and
tell the supplier after 2 weeks, then not use it for another 15 months and
bring it back to the supplier. What would you expect the supplier to do?
