things in places. In Qatar, E&Y or Deloitte (I forget which), pretty much have
all the audits. KPMG does the advisory work. No PWC.
What's the size difference between the top ones? I mean how much smaller is

Sure you can. Language is not static. Definitions of words change all the time
- think about 'aggravate' or 'decimate'. Both of these words have changed their
meanings. Invite became a noun as well as a verb. 'Wellness' became an
acceptable word. We haven't even touched on new words that have been added.
'Hacking' someone's account now means using it when they've forgotten to
logout. That word has changed in the last 5 years and we've all seen it happen.
I'm not a massive fan of the sociolinguistics thing and the evolution of
language. I'd prefer to sit on the grammar-nazi side complaining about the
misuse of the words, but that puts me into the 'man yells at cloud' group.

Well, to be fair, I think sociolinguistics has moved the official definition of
the 1st-3rd world counties. If you used it everyday conversation most people
would be happy assuming it was based on an economic indicator like GDP per

Just came across something that I didn't know - the designation for first world
countries has nothing to do with wealth, it refers to political affiliation
around the WW2 era. Capitalist countries were designated 1st world (US/UK most
Europe). Communist countries were designated 2nd world (Russia and assorted).
Unaffiliated countries were designated 3rd world.
I guess I had that wrong in my head.

I see no reason why we can't be involved/can't participate.
Suggestions:
* Run two seperate tournaments (Beginner and Pro) for the same game. New
players don't feel overwhelmed/demoralised; pro players can enjoy solid comp.
* Run a boot camp at MWeb for players who are interested in transitioning to
intermediate/pro level. Volunteers from the FGC can assist these players on
weekends. The pro player pool will gradually increase.
