Just when one thinks he knows what he is talking about, one messes up.
What I meant to say was that the E's were the only class that went from CPR
block to CP Rail, bypassing the script.

The E's were used on VIA's Canadian's. However they soon turned out
to be
problematic in the mountains. Pretty sure this is why ATSF, GN, NP, etc did
not use E's in the mountains. The A1A wheel arrangement is not meant for
mountain railroading!
Yup they were the only class of CPR locomotive never to have at least one
member in the script scheme.
