Reading through some C-P-R posts, in the late 50's they were assigned to #11/12
(Sudbury-Toronto section of The Canadian). The Randy Masales photo of 1801
sounthbound on #12 at Woodbridge ON in April 1960 is probably just one instance.
There's also a Doug Phillips photo around of CP 1800 "stored" in Calgary AB in
December 1972, in maroon & grey colours. I think I saw it in an email from
Bruce Chapman...who also mentioned they couldn't be used west of Calgary due to
lack of dynamic brakes (as well as the RS10's...C-P-R messages 1225, 17450,
40549 may be of interest).
1801 was on #154 when it hit an extra with 8787 on point head-on, in
Lachevrotiere QC 12-28-1968. There's a photo of both front ends bashed together
floating around as well.

I heard the E8's worked between Toronto and Windsor for a while but I can't
remember the date. There's a picture around of engine 1800 pulling a train
eastbound through Galt Ontario.
