I heard the E8's worked between Toronto and Windsor for a while but I can't
remember the date.  There's a picture around of engine 1800 pulling a train
eastbound through Galt Ontario.

Would have been Toronto - Detroit actually. By the time E-8's were built there weren't any more eng changes in Windsor; NYC catenary thru DRT was already down.
