Hello:
When I first purchased the bookport, I asked one of the tech support persons
at APH if I could use rechargeable batteries. The person I spoke with
recommended against it, because if memory serves and I understood him
correctly, he said that if there were some discrepancy between the level of
current at which those batteries charged and what the device could take it
could be damaged.
