[bookport] Re: Saving Settings when Changing Batteries

Sometimes, after changing the batteries, the following settings are set back to
factory defaults:

volume
speed
pitch
frequency
sleep timer
date and time
automatic file advancement (yes or no)

There may be others, I don't have my BP with me to test this. All of these
settings can be easily restored, though not automatically. None of the data on
the card is affected.

Irwin,

I've always had that problem and I've had my BP for 2 and a half years now.
It's never bothered me that much but I've always wondered if others could in
fact take up to 30 seconds without loosing their settings. Lou

Hi, when I change batteries all of my settings are lost.

I think the documentation says that settings should be retained for 30 seconds
or so.

It probably takes about 10 to 15 seconds to change the batteries.

Does anyone else have this problem?
