I've never had a problem losing anything but the time and date when I've
just done a quick change without pressing D+E+F first. I think that the time
frame may be closer to 20 seconds than to 30.

Time and date plus other options which are chosen in the settings menu.
However, you can hit the d plus e plus f command before you change batteries
and settings should be changed. All you will loose then is the few seconds
off the clock that it takes to actually change the batteries. Lou

    Irwin,

I've always had that problem and I've had my BP for 2 and a half years
now. It's never bothered me that much but I've always wondered if others
could in fact take up to 30 seconds without loosing their settings. Lou

Hi, when I change batteries all of my settings are lost.

I think the documentation says that settings should be retained for 30
seconds or so.

It probably takes about 10 to 15 seconds to change the batteries.

Does anyone else have this problem?
