Your friend is almost certainly wrong. I can't see how the type of battery
could possibly make any difference insofar as the BP retaining its settings.

My friend Brian thinks whether settings are saved has to do with whether you
are changing rechargeable batteries or the higher voltage disposable ones.

This happens to me if I remove the batteries before the double beep that
announces the BP going to sleep. If I wait until after the double beep is
heard, my settings are usually retained.

Hi, when I change batteries all of my settings are lost.

I think the documentation says that settings should be retained for 30
seconds or so.

It probably takes about 10 to 15 seconds to change the batteries.

Does anyone else have this problem?
