Hi David, Thanks for the help. I was so happy to find that I didn't have a bad 2 gig card. Appears everything is working now. The only thing I lost was all of my notes in my note folder. Thanks again. I had the same thing happen to me last Friday with a 512 megabyte card. The only solution is put it in your computer, save off all the files you can, then reformat the card. I couldn't find any other way to do it, but that worked. It really isn't the Book Port that is the problem. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Elaine" <elaine18@xxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, February 05, 2006 11:31 PM Subject: [bookport] Need help Hi list, I need a bit of help with a problem that has never happened to me. The other day I changed batteries on my bookport and after that my bookport said that my 2 gig card had not files. Well before I changed the batteries it was quite full with all sorts of audio books. I took the batteries out and insert them again and no luck. I then plugged it into the computer and bookport transfer recognized the unit and I had three folders left but no files in them. I then took the bookport off the computer and it was dead I took the batteries out and put them back in and tried another card worked fine. But if I put my 2 gig card back into the book it will cause it to go dead. I pop the batteries and it will give me the "defaults restored" then I get no response from any of the buttons. So gang what in the world have I done to my trusty BP. It will work with my other cards. The computer will recognize the card, but will not left me load anything on it and it causes the d ead buttons. HELP. Hope this is clear and someone can help. Elaine
