Before reformatting your 2 gig card, connect your Bookport to the computer and run check disk using BP Transfer. That is in the options menu, somewhere. If that doesn't work, copy the files on your Bookport back to your computer. Then reformat your card. It sounds like you have a bad card. But... maybe reformatting will do the trick. I hope that helps you.

Hi list, I need a bit of help with a problem that has never happened to me. The other day I changed batteries on my bookport and after that my bookport said that my 2 gig card had not files. Well before I changed the batteries it was quite full with all sorts of audio books. I took the batteries out and insert them again and no luck. I then plugged it into the computer and bookport transfer recognized the unit and I had three folders left but no files in them. I then took the bookport off the computer and it was dead I took the batteries out and put them back in and tried another card worked fine. But if I put my 2 gig card back into the book it will cause it to go dead. I pop the batteries and it will give me the "defaults restored" then I get no response from any of the buttons. So gang what in the world have I done to my trusty BP. It will work with my other cards. The computer will recognize the card, but will not left me load anything on it and it causes the dead buttons. HELP. Hope this is clear and someone can help.

11For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They
are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13If you look for me in earnest,
you will find me when you seek me. 14I will be found by you," says the LORD...
