I always use the k1000 bookport transport function when I want to send a
book which I've scanned. It makes no sense to save the book in another
format, exit k1000, go in to the transfer software, find the book again, and
send it. K1000 will send it in one or two easy steps without even saving the
file.
I may be wrong, but It also seems a little faster. I wonder if the k1000's
file conversion system is faster than bookport transfer's?

I'm curious about the advantages of using Kurzweil to load the books over
the Book Port Transfer program.

I always get the daisy version. However, I open all of the files in kurzweil
1000, and use that product to load the files in to the book port. If you are
using the book port transfer software, the best choice may be different.
