Cheryl, I think I figured out the problem. You don't get drainage because you are reading in Spanish. I decided to check Spanish yes in the keyboard options when I stopped reading two hours ago, and I did not get even a one percent drainage. This is unusual. Usually the drainage is so great, two hours would have produced a significant percentage drop in battery level. Most of us are reading in English, which is where the drainage occurs - the English yes option. Others can test this - when stopped reading, choose Spanish yes option.
