Try optimizing. Often the book jacket is some kind of colored paper which makes getting a good scan difficult. My library complicates the issue by covering the book jacket in a tented plastic paper to protect it. Anyway, if you choose optimize scan from the menu, it should find the settings that work best. It just takes a little longer. Anyone know the best way to scan the back of a hard-cover book where the book jacket information is usually found? I've tried it on the default settings with k1000 version 11, but my results have been less than satisfactory. Any help would be most appreciated.
