My folks had the complete set of Charlie Chan mysteries. I read them all, and could never figure out in advance who the culprit was; of course, I was a kid then. The author of the series was Earl Derr Biggers. I checked and none of his books are in the collection. As I recall they were well-written and enjoyable mysteries, but of course that was a lot of years ago. I don't know how many of dorothy Sayers' mysteries are in the collection. When I put her whole name in nothing showed up. When I put in just sayers several did show up,but I don't know how many she wrote.
