Cheryl While 24,000 is an impressive number for a collection directed towards blind people, and even more so given the short time BookShare has been in existence, most small towns have collections far larger. Our city of 35,000, as an example, has upwards of 200,000 books (some duplicates, of course) in its collection not counting audio books, or videos. So while BookShare has taken great strides in making reading material available, it is still a drop in the bucket as compared to what is available in a typical public library.
