Dear Agape,
I am also a newby but, like you, I learned the hard way about losing books so I
make a backup copy of all books I am working on, and, to be doubly safe,
especially since my Kurzweil is only good for 9 more days, I make an updated
rtf or doc. copy.
By the way. I know you know dogs but what about cats. I work in/on my bed and
the keyboard is in front of me on pillows. When my cat wants the pillows the
keyboard ends up on my knees. Any ideas how to keep the cat from pawing the
keyboard? (She gets jealous) or hiding the monitor by lying down in front of
it. I used a water pistol but have not been able to find any since he broke
the last 3. Any and all ideas will be gratefully appreciated.

and love it.
I have an old version of openbook but only use it to validate books submitted
in that format.
I love kurzweil.
I did have it crash yesterday though after scanning in an almost 500 page
book.
I lost the book and was very frustrated.
I scan image files only then let it recognize.
I don't have any idea why it decided to crash and then corrupt the file.

Welcome to the list, and thanks for volunteering. Bookshare is a great
concept that has done so very well because of all the wonderful volunteers out
there.
I also love reading, and a good friend has told me that I've probably
downloaded more books than I'll ever read in my lifetime. He's certainly
right, but this way I know I'll have them in case I want to read them.
I'd love to talk with you about essential oils and things. At one point,
I was considering making perfumes and such, and may yet one day.

I am new to the list but have been submitting books and volunteering for
a year now.
I was in massage therapy school here in Texas the beginning of this year
so couldn't handle the volume of email until now.
I am a professional pet sitter in College Station Texas in business with
my mom.
We love it and I am working to get my human massage certification License
for Texas....I then plan to take a course in canine massage.
I love reading and really enjoy all the books I have downloaded from
