Hi Pam,

Are you sure that you are using the "Epson twain5" driver?
Some drivers work better than others, and for the 1660, you should be using twain5.

Hi Julie,

I have an epson 1660. Don't know if the settings depend on the scanner
or not, but I am getting good scans with dynamic threshhold. Was just
surprised that I had to play with the settings as much. That's got me
curious though, wondering why gray scale doesn't seem to work for
mine.
