Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Is it ok to submit either format, zipped or not, for submitting a book and for upload after validation? I know for validation it's got to be .rtf-I just need clarification on the .zip format. I have high speed, so for me it's no problem and not time consuming to not zip the file before uploading it.

Hi Darrell,

On this one you are wrong. I submit zipped files for everything, submissions and validated books. I do it because it is faster. The tools have no problem with my zipped files. Please don't mislead new volunteers. Though it isn't necessary to zip files to upload, it is a little bit faster and harms nothing.

Hi Dave,

The tools that process the submissions from Step 2 to the approval queue do
not accept .zip files. Only the .rtf should be uploaded.

Thanks,

Darrell

Darrell,

Why do you say it is not desirable to zip it?

Dave
