Buchanan Birders,
Michelle, Chazzy and I made a morning hike up Caney Island Branch, finding a
bunch of new birds for 2009. Warbler are everywhere and we found:
Yellow-breasted Chat
Cerulean Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Blue-winged Warbler
Ovenbird
American Redstart
Worm-eating Warbler
Hooded Warbler
Northern Parula
Black-and-white Warbler
Other migrants included:
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Indigo Bunting
White-eyed Vireo
Blue-headed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Yellow-throated Vireo
Scarlet Tanager
Ed and Michelle
