Buchanan Birders,
A quick hike up Caney Island Branch revealed a small feeder flock with
Chestnut-sided, Redstart, Cerulean, Tennessee, Bay-breasted, and Blackburnian
Warblers. Later found a Hooded Warbler and a Scarlet Tanager.
A pair of female Wood Ducks and a couple of GB Herons were seen along the river.
The flowers and plants along the road are starting to die - we need some rain
soon.
