Well, part of the data, anyway. Both images were taken with a dSLR that has a pretty wide field of view. I wonder if the laser would be visible in a CCD image, where the camera is mounted on a telescope focused on a much smaller section of sky. Maybe one more test? ;-) Peter -----Original Message----- From: az-observing-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:az-observing-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Frank Kraljic Sent: Monday, August 29, 2005 7:58 PM To: az-observing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [AZ-Observing] Re: Astroimages from Cherry Road Yup... That would be my laser pointer after I think 10 seconds of exposure. Comparing Tom's and Bernie's (http://www.pbase.com/bsanden/image/46095331) photographs, I imagine even a second's worth of illumination is sufficient to appear on an image. No need to experiment anymore, Jon; I think we have all the data we need. -FRANK P.S. I think I'm pointing at the Trifid in Bernie's picture. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
