Surely it's *usual* that converting information into a finished manual is
not just one person's work. (There'll be at least one writer, there should
be an editor, and perhaps there'll be a separate "template creator" or even
a graphic designer.) 

So I didn't interpret Christine's question as necessarily implying
wrong-doing -- I'd expect the answer to be "*most* of us". 

The way that you discuss your role in the project, and to what extent (or
whether) you acknowledge the work of other people, is what separates
legitimacy from fraud.
