We have a few more large quilts compared with recent years, and some very nice ones. Photos of many of them are posted on our web site at www.texasreliefsale.org. - We received a generous donation of two vintage quilts from a 90-year old gentleman in the Houston area. Both were made by his mother who was a faithful and lifelong member of the sewing circle at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Corn, Oklahoma. These two quilts include the first one she ever made (in 1910) and the last one, in the 1970s. - We have some very nice woodworking again this year, including another kitchen stool from Dave Wiebe. Again, photos are on the web site. - If you have something you wish to donate for the quilt auction, please send along the information about it no later than October 26, to have it included in the quilt booklet. The item does not need to be here, but we do need the information by then. - Just a reminder, we will NOT be selling used books at the Sale this year. - Please encourage folks in your congregation to follow the Relief Sale on social media (Facebook and Instagram). Regardless of where you live, you can help make sure the Sale is a success by spreading the word. Thanks to everyone for your support. We look forward to seeing many of you on November 8. -- Roxie Voran roxie.voran@xxxxxxxxx 713 416 4904 (cell) 713 416 1579 (home)
