OK, problem solved. A call to Melco tech support. He suggested that I turn off
the machine, then go to Tools, Options, Ethernet and check the box "force
download," and then turn the XT back on. This apparently dumps the old
leftover commands that may have been corrupted. It worked! My only complaint
is as my daughter unfortunatly says "WTF!" That is the stupidest name "Force
Download??" and its in the stupidest place where I will NEVER remember it if
this happens again. Anyhow, I had a power outage a few days ago and that
probably messed up the commands that were lurking there. I never thought about
it. So thanks for all the suggestions! May the Force be with you!
