Jeff,
Thanks for this information. The accumulate jumps is off in both Design Shop
and Amaya OS. I was hoping that was the problem.
I am now looking at Wilcom for the trim preservation feature but don't see
it. I'll let you know what I find.

Hi Mary,

I am not familiar with recent versions of Wilcom software, but they used to
have 2 ways to set the EXP setup when saving files. If you are designating a

Trim in the Wilcom software, when saving as EXP it can save the trim as
Jumps, or it can be set to output an actual Trim Command. Melco EXP format
has a Trim Command associated with it and the Wilcom software can be set to
output that Trim Command where you designate trims instead of a series of
Jumps. I am sure they still have this setting, I just cannot tell you what
to click on to find it.

It is ok to use Jumps to trim, but, you need to make sure that all software

is set correct as well. This is your choice to choose which one is best for
you, but then you need to understand what is needed to use the one you
choose. If you bring the file into Design Shop or Amaya OS to add colors or
other items to it and then save as OFM and you want the file to trim using
Jump Stitches, then you want to make sure that your design filter setting
that accumulates jumps is turned off. Both Design Shop and Amaya OS have the

ability to filter out jumps to make the file more production friendly. Go to

Tools then Filter, then Design Filter and insure that the setting for
"Accumulate Jump Stitches" is off. You will need to check this in both
Design Shop and Amaya OS if you are using both.

Let me know if this does not fix the problem.

 Sincerely,
 Jeff Banks
