Hello folks, if I can throw my two pennyworth in here? I have a Bose Wave system which has DAB radio FM and MW plus a CD player. I went into a shop thinking of improving this by adding more Bose products and was told that the Sonos 5 music system was far superior. One drawback with this the controller has a touch screen like the Apple products. The sound was terrific and the music came from the computer like you are saying Clive. I feel sure it can be controlled by the Ipod touch but I am not sure. I think there is an app for the Sonos as well and the company say it can be controlled from the PC using their software. Has anyone tried or listened to the Sonos 5? Increasingly, I am using my computer to play my music collection, having ripped the lot onto an external hard drive. Tried IPod, but hated ITunes, particularly since it did strange and terrible things with my collection. I'd already loaded most of it onto the PC before throwing ITunes at it, and I think this may have had something to do with the nightmares I experienced. It may be easier if you're starting from scratch with your uploading, putting ITunes up before you store on your PC. Without ITunes, I do find music a real cinch to play on the computer, and I've got a massive collection on there. Hi Dave thanks for your reply. If the system I wanted was for portable use then your suggestion would be perfect, but all I'm after is something similar to what I have but with the two tape decks removed and replaced with a multi CD player. This would be for home use, but I really want it accessible as I'd like both my wife and I to use it and my wife is totally blind and I have limited sight, and your idea of an IPod would mean we had to have one each wouldn't' it?
