Increasingly, I am using my computer to play my music collection, having ripped the lot onto an external hard drive. Tried IPod, but hated ITunes, particularly since it did strange and terrible things with my collection. I'd already loaded most of it onto the PC before throwing ITunes at it, and I think this may have had something to do with the nightmares I experienced. It may be easier if you're starting from scratch with your uploading, putting ITunes up before you store on your PC. Without ITunes, I do find music a real cinch to play on the computer, and I've got a massive collection on there. Hi Dave thanks for your reply. If the system I wanted was for portable use then your suggestion would be perfect, but all I'm after is something similar to what I have but with the two tape decks removed and replaced with a multi CD player. This would be for home use, but I really want it accessible as I'd like both my wife and I to use it and my wife is totally blind and I have limited sight, and your idea of an IPod would mean we had to have one each wouldn't' it?
