I bough to your superior knowledge Steve, but I've always been told to use whatever is going as well as the router for added protection.

Hi Jackie,

Personally, I disagree.  Routers, particularly Linksys, have excellent
firewalls, so there is no point in hogging resources with Windows Firewall,
unless you are not behind your router.  Software firewalls just hog
resources, and if you are behind a hardware router, you don't need it.

Barry, I wouldn't recommend it, even though the router has one.  Always
better with more than not enough I'm sorry to say.
