I used www.findaproperty.co.uk where you can specify the type of place youre
looking for, whether you want to buy or rent and the area. And if anyone is
after a nice one bed flat in East LDN available in three weeks give me a
shout! Fully furnished, right near the tube and bus stop and more importantly
a few minutes walk from a great little pub!

Another excellent property site is www.vebra.co.uk - it draws together
properties listed on a number of different agents site.  Not researched in
depth but my understanding of the way it works is that Vebra is the system
individual agents use to manage their properties with the business including
publishing them to their own website, and / or to the Vebra site. So any
agent that uses the Vebra system can (I assume it's an option rather than a
default) publish to this site.  The only accessibility failing I've found is
in the lack of alt tags for the 4 image map links at the top which switch
between properties for sale, letting, commercial, or something else...

Also www.estateangels.co.uk I found pretty good for finding estate agents in
any given town.

hi tink, one category that seems to always get left out of such discussions,
is property websites. more and more estate agents are going online which
makes accessing property details much easier for us all, but noone ever seems
to bring property sites into research. i mention this now as we are just
about to complete the buying and selling process and found
www.rightmove.co.uk invaluable as a property database. admittedly, the
property details posted on there are put there by agents signed up to
rightmove, so rightmove don't have a say in them. the actual site is a breeze
to use and i think should be given recognision for that fact. the only
slightly awkward part of the site i've com across is their monthly houseprice
review which in .pdf format, but is readable. the rest of the site is very,
