Hi Clive
I had to pay for my goods yesterday by credit card over the phone.
Best wishes
Henry

payment?
Hi George,
Other organisations, such as banks, energy companies and companies who sell
goods paid for by monthly direct debit have no problem, so whilst I reckon
you're probably right, I can't help wondering whether the RNIB might have
introduced an excessively drastic solution to a simple problem. What
payment methods, both online and off, do the RNIB now accept?
Best,
Clive

I suspect it's a matter of security one way or the other.

Hi Henry,
I don't but it's weird. If they used GoCardless, then their transaction
fees would be less than those of a credit card, so I don't understand it.
We do have the direct debit facility by the way, as I do use GoCardless

All the best
Steve

Subject: [access-uk] RNIB and withdrawal of the direct Debit method of
payment?
Good Evening Folks
I called the RNIB shop this afternoon to order some Loc Dots and was told
that I could no longer use my direct debit facility as this has now been
withdrawn by the RNIB to all customers. The RNIB representative was very
apologetic and vague.
I therefore paid for my goods using my credit card.
Does anyone know why the Direct Debit service has been withdrawn?
Best wishes
Henry
