Hello I have ben in email discussion with the RNIB Overdrive service about the delay in uploading books. As you will be aware the deadline of the upload of books for the catalogue had been delayed from promises of upload completed by end of November when I joined the service and then end of December till the latest email last week suggesting end of February. Whilst this is clearly chaotic I suggested as a way of ameliorating the impact of this on subscribers that the service should respond to requests for priority upload from people who are unable to access the books they wish to read. Personally I have been waiting nearly 2 months for books that are available on the main catalogue but have not been transferred to Overdrive. Disappointingly the Overdrive service have dismissed this suggestion out of hand. They justified this on the basis of a vague promise that the catalogue would be uploaded in the “New Year anyway. I have pointed out that the latest information is for February and not the New Year but they have not responded further. It is difficult to be confident that even the February deadline will be honoured to given the chaotic performance so far. If like me you feel the that a responsive service which provides prioritisation for requested books should be provided I would be glad if you could support this request at overdrive@xxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:overdrive@xxxxxxxxxxx> David Griffith
