Hi Adrian

I think 3GB would be more than enough. If you are running Vista with screen
reader applications then you are probably better with more if you have the
option at the outset.

Hi Jackie

Yes I can get the extra gb of ram for £50 on top of the price of the laptop
which isn't too bad, I think £75 got me the extra 2 gb but I think 3 gb would
be enough??

Hi Adrian

Answering one of your questions, the minimum recommendation is 2GB of RAM for
Vista. If, however, you have the opportunity to have 3GB, I would go for it.

Hi

I know there have been a whole load of messages recently about laptops and I'm
sorry to ask you guys to go over it again but my questions are more specific.

I am interested in the toshiba equium 210, does any body use this laptop? What
is it like?
I am also seriously looking at the toshiba satellite 300d, this has 2 gb ram
and if I order it I will upgrade to 3 gb of ram, is 2 gb sufficient to run
vista and hal and all my other programs? Would I be better with the 3 gb?

Lastly, being in France, not many companies over here will supply me with a
laptop with english keyboard or windows.
Therefore I have to purchase from the UK. I know of play.com, laptops direct
and pcworld, would you guys be able to recommend some other companies to me
please.

Regards

Adrien
