Douglas, I get your point but, surely, if an anti-virus programme is inaccessible to us, even if it works for everyone else, there's little point in having it because it will just sit there and not be used properly. Anyway, I've had some useful feedback and am grateful because it will help in my choice the next time around. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Douglas Harrison Sent: Sunday, February 20, 2005 11:30 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Attachments icon Carol, I admit that I probably tend to give too much emphasis to accessibility OF THE INTERFACE, ease of renewal etc., when efficiency in protecting the system should be the vital criterion. The problem is that it IS hard to be sure of the latter until it fails. The claims made by the developers of antivirus software are most impressive, but you would expect that. It is the one that gets through that matters, not how many are kept out!. douglas On 19 Feb 2005 at 21:23, Carol Pearson wrote: > Douglas, thanks, I'll take a look.
