I checked the northern part of the marsh this afternoon. Very quiet with
little shorebird activity. There are no draw downs currently along Hwy
49---one wonders if there will be any for the fall migration!! The boardwalk
pond is almost dry. There were 6 species present in the limited water and mud.
40 Semip. Plovers, Killdeer, and some Dunlins, Least and Semip. Sandpipers,
plus one White-rumped Sandpiper.
