I'm using office 8.1.
I have 3 worksheets in this particular book and neither of the worksheets
are coming out of the same cell.

Susan,
Press escape to break out of the cell in case you are in edit mode.
Escape should de-activate the cell. Then arrow around to be sure you are out
of it.
