Dear Susan,

Another useful trick is to copy the good cell down from the row above to the
damaged cell. That will bring the format back to what it should be. You can
then type in the correct price and it should be OK.

All the best,

Susan,

maybe, autoformat... which is in the Format submenu.

Hi folks,

Using jaws 10 with windows xp.

I use excel to keep my household accounts, I use column a, for the name
of
the bought item, column b, for the date of purchase. then column c, for
the
price of the item. well by accident I put the date in to the price
column
and now I am unable to put in the price Colum, when I deleted the date
from
the price column then try to put in the price the date keeps coming up
instead of the price. for instance, if I try to put £19 in the price
column
it comes up with the 19th Jan. this only happens in the cell on that row
I
made the mistake, the cells above and below are fine.

I do hope this all makes sense to somebody.

can you help me sort this out it would save me a lot of work typing the
whole lot out again.
best wishes

Susan
