Dear Texbirders, There were 33 visitors this morning at the Blucher Park Bird Walk, including people from as far away as Michigan and Washington. The high point of the morning was a very cooperative Chuck-Will's-Widow which posed on a log for about a half hour. The number of birds was a little low, but there was a pretty good variety. We had 51 species, including 12 species of warblers. Thanks to Kathy Huebel, Mel and Arlie Cooksey and Derek Muschalek for hosting. The highlights included: Franklin's Gull Chuck-Will's-Widow Great-crested Flycatcher Great Kiskadee Couch's Kingbird Bank Swallow Ovenbird Northern Waterthrush Prothonotary Warbler Tennessee Warbler Kentucky Warbler Northern Parula Black-throated Green Warbler Clay-colored Sparrow Rose-breasted Grosbeak Blue Grosbeak Indigo Bunting Painted Bunting Orchard Oriole Larry Jordan Corpus Christi Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner
