What browser are you using...IE6...just make sure you have all the
updates installed. Biggest problem out there is hijacked web (sites)
addresses which redirect you to bogus sites which look similar to the
real site. You make a purchase using your credit card never seeing the
goods and the bad guy has your information. Use PayPal or similar
services for secure credit card transactions.

Anyone else on this topic...

Subject: [TechAssist] computer question how do i secure my computer from
hackers

hello to all
Thanks to all who responded to my post
As it turned out my computer was loaded with spyware
I downloaded adware and ran program computer seems to be back to normal
my next question is how do I know if my computer is safe enough to do
transactions with a credit card ? Just recently some got access to my
credit
card number ( now I'm afraid to use it online )
Is this an issue to do with firewall ( NEED ADVICE )
Any suggestions
tib
